About the Chamber_old

The Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce is a driving force in the development and promotion of our membership and the communities in which we do business.

Representing and advocating for businesses in the communities of Taylor, Dearborn Heights, and Dearborn, the chamber offers many exciting ways to learn, inform, and network.

Jackie Lovejoy

PRESIDENT

“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this – you haven’t.” – Thomas Edison

I am delighted to serve in my role as president with the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce.  Working with our fabulous staff, we continue to offer relevant and engaging programming, and professional services our members have come to expect, in person and virtually.

During my 15 years with Davenport University, part of my charge as Campus Director, Admissions Training Manager, and Director of Job Development was chamber and charity involvement & board participation.

I am focused on growing our corner of Southeast Michigan and our workforce. Community outreach is key in building a thriving atmosphere for our businesses.

Being a community partner and participating in the growth thrills us each day!

PJ Lemanski

Director of Certificates of Origin & Small Business Development

“Jackie wrote my bio” – PJ

I am thrilled to advocate and pull together the business community of Dearborn and SE Michigan.  Our export services are key in driving our economy and bringing Michigan components and finished products to our global markets. Our efficient online portal helps leave the stress of exporting in the past.

With a combined passion for small business and non-profit I am always looking forward to serving the members of our chamber. Folks don’t realize Chambers are the only institutions in the world to aid in overseas shipping and new markets with our Certificate of Origin Program processing over 15,000 documents each year.

We are happy to help and are connected to export.gov for market advice.

DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

“Until you’re ready to look foolish, you’ll never have the possibility of being great.” – Cher

As the Chamber’s Director of Events, I am excited to curate and conduct the finest Chamber events yet to happen. We specialize in expanding your business network and increasing your visibility by bringing your demographic to you at our plethora of events.

With a background in luxury retail events and a knack for people pleasing, I am elated to take the helm and steer the direction of our historic events into open and flourishing waters.

Please reach out to me if you would like to orchestrate an event with us or talk about sponsorship opportunities. As a member, hosting one of our famed Eye Opener or After Hours events at your business, and sponsoring any of our other highly attended events are both brilliant ways to illuminate your business and build up your networking momentum.

Terry Gorski

Director of Membership

“The Only Constant in Life is Change.”- Heraclitus

Having been a small business owner and a longtime resident of Dearborn, I am thrilled to be joining the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce as their newest member. I understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities that small businesses face in our community, and I am dedicated to working with Chamber members to promote their businesses and bring in new members to strengthen the Chamber and the community.

With over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, I bring a wealth of expertise to the Chamber. My background in social media management and digital marketing certifications make me an asset to help Chamber members stay current with market trends, increase profitability, and achieve continued success. I have a passion for generating leads, managing client relations, and consulting, all skills that will benefit Chamber members.

As a first-generation American and a lifelong learner, I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. I believe that staying ahead of the curve is essential in providing the best service to my clients and community. My dedication to the Dearborn community is deepened by my family’s history and connection to the area. My husband’s great grandfather built the Schaefer building at Michigan Avenue and Schaefer Road, and we both share a passion for supporting small businesses and promoting a strong local economy.

I am excited to join the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce and work with its members to create a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
