The Ambassadors Committee is a group of members who volunteer their time to serve as Chamber representatives.

As informed Chamber representatives, the Ambassadors serve as the entity of the Chamber that focuses on the Chamber membership – the backbone of the organization.  The Ambassadors’ purpose is to assist in increasing the membership of the Chamber throughout the year by recruiting new members and spreading good will among existing membership.  Ambassadors act as a public-relations arm of the Chamber by attending various functions including ribbon cuttings, grand openings, fundraisers and community events.  Ambassadors provide greater visibility for the Chamber, i.e., more people telling the Chamber story!

Ambassadors gain experience and knowledge of how the Chamber functions and are prepared to assume other leadership roles in the Chamber.  They also have the opportunity to be awarded “Ambassador of the Year!”

Katherine Lennon,  Lennon Pregnancy Center

The Lennon Center is a small Non-profit organization that has been in the Dearborn/Dearborn Heights community for over 30 years.  The Center meets the diverse needs of people who face unplanned pregnancies with confidential counseling, education, and material assistance.  Our goal is to promote healthy pregnancies and positive parenting and to empower our clients to be the best parents possible.  Parenting classes are offered during pregnancy and continue for 5 years after the birth of the baby.
The Lennon Center encourages their clients to continue their education so they can gain employment and provide an stable, nurturing, safe environment for their family.
Other services provided at The Lennon Center are pregnancy testing and verification, referrals, and Ultrasounds.  All of our services are free.  The Center relies on the generosity of private donations from loyal supports.
Katherine Quintana Lennon is the Executive Director of the Lennon Center.  She has worked there for 8 years.  Katherine is a native of California, still loves the ocean and salt air, but has been living in Michigan for almost 40 years.  A graduate from the B-School at Michigan in Ann Arbor, as it was known in her era, Katherine is a die hard UM football fan.  She is the proud mother of 4 great adult children and 3 super cute grands.
