Ambassadors

The Ambassadors Committee is a group of members who volunteer their time to serve as Chamber representatives.  These wonderful folks reach out to our new members as chamber experts and assist as volunteers.  They really are a huge part of our PR team— on the street for ribbon cuttings and events, making all feel welcome!

As informed Chamber representatives, the Ambassadors serve as the entity of the Chamber that focuses on the Chamber membership – the backbone of the organization.  The Ambassadors’ purpose is to assist in increasing the membership of the Chamber throughout the year by recruiting new members and spreading good will among existing membership.  Ambassadors provide greater visibility for the Chamber, i.e., more people telling the Chamber story!

Ambassadors gain experience and knowledge of how the Chamber functions and are prepared to assume other leadership roles in the Chamber.  They also have the opportunity to be awarded “Ambassador of the Year!”

2020 and 2021: As our programming and many activities were curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic ALL our Ambassadors are recognized as a team that came together when we could!

Our hats are off to these super heroes, be sure to thank them, patronize & say hello when they call, they are our PR team!

Chamber Ambassador of the Years 2018 & 2019 Congratulations to Elizabeth Curran with SERVPRO of Dearborn

Elizabeth Curran has been involved with the chamber since she joined SERVPRO of Dearborn and Dearborn Heights SE in 2010. AS Marketing Manager for SERVPRO, she quickly recognized the benefits of being an active Chamber member and the even greater benefits of being an Ambassador.

Elizabeth is active in the Chamber Connect referral group and sits on several committees including golf, hospitality, education and the holiday gala committee. Prior to joining SERVPRO of Dearborn and Dearborn Heights SE, Elizabeth worked in advertising as an Art Director for a commercial photography studio. She frequently lends her photography and design skills to the Chamber.

Her commitment to the Chamber really shone when she stepped in as Interim Events Director in early 2017 to plan the Chamber Choice awards ceremony and annual meeting, all while continuing to work full-time for SERVPRO and building a special exhibit for their trade show booth for the same event. She is also an active supporter of the Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive and Police Officers Charity as well as Dearborn Goodfellows.
