DEARBORN, MI— Local young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of distinguished Metro Detroit c-level executives at the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce’s C-Level Executive Panel Presentation on Monday, March 2nd from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at The Adoba Hotel in Dearborn. This free event, sponsored by The Adoba Hotel Dearborn/Detroit, is open to the public and is held as a part of the Chamber’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy. The Dearborn Area Chamber Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a 30 week curriculum designed to teach students, grades 7-12, to open and fully operate their very own business.
“We are thrilled to once again host the Young Entrepreneurs Academy in the Dearborn area,” commented Jackie Lovejoy, President of the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce. “This programs provides entrepreneurial minded middle and high school students with the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and to start up a real, albeit modest, business!”
The Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce’s C-Level Executive Panel Presentation will feature panelists Bob Fish, CEO of Biggby Coffee; Renato Jamett, Senior Vice President of the Dearborn Branch of Raymond James; Andy Chesley, former CEO of London Fog; Christian Overland, Executive Vice President of The Henry Ford; and Cathy O’Malley, General Manager of Fairlane Town Center.
The C-Level Executive Panel Presentation is a unique experience that engages students on a whole new level. Each executive will be providing their own success stories and experiences, allowing students and the general public to hear the inside scoop of what they love about their roles as c-level executives. Additionally, they will share what they were doing when they were in 7-12 grade. Most importantly, the students will have the opportunity to hear professional advice from the executives to help them succeed in their future business ideas.
“This is truly a remarkable opportunity for our YEA! students to learn from some of the most successful and respected business executives and leaders in Southeast Michigan,” said Ron Hinrichs, Director of Events & Media Relations, and YEA! Program Manager for the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce.
